As we set off from the bottom end of the Zillertal this morning in the pouring rain we weren’t expecting to see this view on the Hintertux Gletscher. The best I was hoping for was probably cloud, poor visibility and hopefully snowing. I certainly wasn’t expecting blue sky.
It didn’t last though. 20 minutes after the first picture was taken, this was what we could see.
And, then, one run later, once all the people had disappeared in for lunch to escape the bad weather, the clouds cleared off, the sun came out, the pistes were empty… and the snow was AWESOME!
