Leaving Fügen this morning wasn’t very inspiring. It had been raining all night in the valley and it was still raining on the drive up to Hochfügen. It changed to snow at about 1400m. There was about 5cm in the car park at 08:30… and then it snowed all day!
By the time we left there was about 50cm around the car that needed to be cleared before we could drive out… and it was still snowing!
More snow fell higher up, though it was difficult to make the most of it. Visibility was bad and the avalanche danger level was posted at 4, so that kept most people exploring in the trees.
